Chromatopsy gives users the opportunity to visualize color data. In partnership with the magazine America, the project uses American news as a basis for analysis, while remaining linked to articles from the paper version.
Focused on areas in which color plays a major role (entertainment, marketing, politics), this project offers “refined” versions of various communication objects that surround us: mainstream films, TV shows, posters campaigns…
By subtracting all the information, except chromatic information, from this data, the project highlights usually invisible methods (color codes generated on television, politicized calibrations, visual support of a cultural origin, impact of the social context on creation, etc.), which allows the user to think and start a debate.
