Gwaskedoù da gouemon is part of a search for cohabitation between people and their environment. My wish is to take into account the whole context : various scales of which it is made up, interactions between species : humans, fauna, flora…
Gwaskedoù da gouemon is located in the sand dunes of Gâvres peninsula in Brittany. This sensitive place hosts a nature that is both threatened and threatening : threatened by the human pressure and treatened by higher risks of erosion and marine submersions. By studying this context, goémon (seaweeds mixture left over from the retreat of the sea) seem to constitute an interesting ressource that could respond to current issues. Therefore, by adopting an experimental design approach, Gwaskedoù da gouemon offers to people a sensitive experience of the environment, pushing them to feel differently the dune landscape. As the sand clings to the foreshore seaweeds, the Gwaskedoù are destined to progressively disapear under the sand and reinforce the dune.
