The daily life of health care workers is confronted with the hospital microcosm (stress, exhausting sound, agitation and effervescence). For many caretakers, it is an environment that requires constant dedication, despite the lack of space for quiet reflection and concentration. Inscribed in an alveolus, L’Échappée (The Escape) is a space that allows them to reintroduce pause, opening a parenthesis towards a completely different sensoriality, a temporality, where the senses manifest themselves. People can stroll freely, enjoy the play of shadow and light, the canopy, the sensations offered by the wind and the foliage in order to reconnect with their inner self, to exist in a soothing lock-up.
