ChromaLab, to experiment and manipulate the haptic color, or the sense of color.
The color ; matter and material. Universal language and pure reception. Symbol, sign, and signal. Social and political commitment. Manipulation and well-being tool. Hundreds of roles can be attributed to color in its expression and uses. Color has a significant physiological and psychological influence for designers. The haptic color concerns the sense of touch, of the skin. This color is felt, fully encompassing body and mind. Not very used in architecture, it scares by its meanings and the thrills it transmits.
ChromaLab is a traveling space, accessible by students in architecture and design schools as a unique place to experiment haptic color. Feel, manipulate, test or touch the color are the aim of this immersive box.
